The subject briefs cover core requirements, aims and assessment.

This leads to a major piece of formally presented, structured writing, in which ideas and findings are communicated in a reasoned and coherent manner, appropriate to the subject chosen.

An essay on a mathematical topic may be offered for examination at Part B as a double unit. Application Students must apply to the Mathematics Projects Committee for approval of their proposed topic in advance of beginning work on their essay.
